As some of you may know im Dutch and from The Netherlands, my husband is American and that is why we live where we live basically, well and because he has a job here.
This means for me that I have no family around, all my family and childhood friends are back home in The Netherlands. My sister and I try to see each other at least once a year. This year she came to visit me in new to us California. And also new to her, so we got to take her to all the touristy things here in the area, fun times : )
I love seeing my sister interact with my kids, its kinda one of the best things ever, its hard being away from family and them not seeing my kids grow up, so the little time we have once they visit is really special to all of us. My sister is not a big fan of being in photos, but I sneaked her in a couple anyway ; )
